General Purpose IO (GPIO)



Overview


GPIO is a general-purpose input/output unit, which provides basic input/output function for a chip. M31 provides a silicon-proven GPIO library in different process nodes. The GPIO solutions are also available at 180BCD, 152BCD, 90BCD, 110HV, 55nm, 40nm, and 28nm technology process.

  • Basic input/output unit for a chip with digital core
  • Consisting of driver, receiver & pull-up/down resistors
  • Usually speed < 100Mhz
  • According to PAD arrangement, classified into two groups: Inline I/O & Stagger one. The former one is usually used for core-limit IC and the latter for pad-limit one
  • Available in 180BCD, 152BCD, 90BCD, 110HV, 55nm, 40nm, and 28nm process nodes
